Point

A point – is defined as a location in space and is represented by a dot (.). It does not have any length, height, shape, or size. It marks the beginning. In a social sense it is the “I”, the self.

Haisong Comments

”A thought is a point, a start, in Chinese Medicine, it is Fire, the spark of life from the Heart. A thought is a point of intention, a seed which can grow. This starts the moving forward to become a line of intention in the healing journey” -possibility

Line

A line is usually defined by two points and is an object in one dimension. It represents a social interaction between two people, the thought becomes action.

Haisong Comments

”A line in Chinese Medicine is Wood, the seed starts to grow upwards, moving forward ….The thought, the point starts to move to become a line of intention to heal. ‘I want to live’” willing

Flat Form

Flat form (a plane) – in geometry, a plane is a flat surface in two dimensions that extends into infinity. It represents action accumulating outwards to create a community of social contacts.

Haisong Comments

”The line keeps moving, moving out to create a flat form. In Taoist thought, the plant spreads out through the earth seeking nutrition to form a base in the Earth. The line of intention to heal, gains the second dimension, a base of healing. ‘I try to live.’” Making effort

Object

Objects are solids that consist of 3 dimensions – length, breadth (width), and height. Every 3D geometric shape occupies some space based on its dimensions.

Haisong Comments

”The line keeps moving, moving out to create a flat form, the flat forms create layers to create a three dimensional Object. In Taoist thought, this is metal because an object has structure, in healing the thought becomes purpose. ‘Ready to live.’” Readiness

Dimensionality

If we introduce a fourth dimension, Time, to a three dimensional object, we have movement creating a functioning object.

Haisong Comments

”Once the structure starts to move, we have function emerging from the structure, the movement of Water from the structure of Metal. ‘Live’” Flow
